Pricing varies by room

  • The "North Star" Direction: One (1) Master Design Direction consisting of inspiration images and design notes outlining the recommended "look and feel”.

  • Conceptual Floor Plan: A strategic layout guide for furniture placement and spatial flow.

  • The Curated Product Guide: A digital guide featuring retail aesthetic specifications for furnishings, lighting, textiles, and decor—complete with professional Design Notes for styling and placement.

  • 3D Visual Perspectives: High-quality, static 3D views and applicable elevations (for millwork concepts) to help you visualize the finished space.

  • Paint & Wallpaper: A curated palette including specific selections for walls, trim, and ceilings to ensure a cohesive, professional finish.

  • Window Treatments: Styled recommendations for fabric textures, curtain types, and hardware.

  • Custom Concepts: Where deemed appropriate for the space, I include conceptual elevations and "Design Intent" drawings for aesthetic millwork and built-ins.

  • Collaborative Feedback: One round to lock in your initial "North Star" direction, and one final round to perfect your product selections.

  • Final Design Presentation: A comprehensive, easy-to-use digital PDF package that houses all your visuals, layouts, and guides in one cohesive place.

  • The Final Touch: This guide is your roadmap, but because every home has its own unique light and every person has their own "sit test" for comfort, the final check is in your hands. I provide the exact dimensions and profiles you need so that even if you swap a piece for a local find, you’re still following the "North Star" of your design. It’s the best of both worlds: professional guidance with your final stamp of approval.

I'm an interior decorator based in Canada. Read more about my background here.

3D Visuals - This is a conceptual example created to show my design style and the work I can do. It is for demonstration purposes and is not a project for an actual client.

Not included
This is a selection-only service exclusive to Canadian residents; it is strictly conceptual and does not include technical blueprints, procurement, site supervision, or the design of high-complexity utility rooms (kitchens/baths). All purchasing, safety verification, and installation remain the client’s responsibility. Dear Alia does not physically inspect retail selections; clients are responsible for final verification of quality and return policies prior to purchase.

Design Magic

I’ll first develop your "North Star" Direction for review and feedback to ensure we're aligned. FAQ

  • A conceptual design is a visual roadmap. I provide the creative vision—including the floor plan, 3D visuals, and a curated product guide—which acts as a "Design Intent" for you to follow. It’s the "look and feel" of the room, rather than a technical construction blueprint.

  • Not at all! Your entire project is delivered as a single, beautifully organized Digital PDF package. You can open it on any phone, tablet, or computer. All product suggestions include clickable links, so you can shop your new look with a single tap.

  • Since this is an online service, you (the client) are responsible for providing the initial room measurements and photos. I’ll provide a simple guide to help you do this accurately! Keep in mind that before you order furniture or start any work, you or your trades should always double-check the dimensions on-site.

  • Since all of our recommendations are sourced from publicly available retail brands, you have total control over the ordering process. To ensure we can curate a space that meets our "North Star" standards for style and quality, we generally work within these three retail tiers:

    • $5k – $10k: High-quality, accessible retail (think West Elm, Article, or Crate & Barrel).

    • $10k – $18k: A curated mix of premium retail and specialized "investment" brands.

    • $18k+: High-end designer retail and boutique brands (think Lulu & Georgia, RH, or Maiden Home).

The Fine Print: These ranges refer to the base retail price. We recommend adding an additional 20–25% to your total project estimate to account for sales tax (HST), shipping, and delivery fees charged by the retailers.

  • The retail world moves fast! I provide a "snapshot" of what is available at the time of your design delivery. If an item sells out shortly after, your Design Notes will include the "why" behind that selection (e.g., "a 5x8 textured wool rug in oatmeal"), making it easy for you to find a similar alternative.

  • My drawings are for visual inspiration and aesthetic direction only. They show your carpenter or contractor the "vibe" and general scale you’re aiming for. Your hired professionals must create their own technical shop drawings and verify all safety codes (like heat clearances) before they start building.

  • To keep this service accessible and flexible, I do not offer project management or procurement. You act as the "Purchasing Agent" and project lead, giving you total control over your timeline and spending.

  • That’s what the "North Star" Direction is for! We align on the aesthetic soul of the room at the very beginning. This ensures that by the time I move into the 3D modeling and product sourcing phase, we are both heading in the exact same direction.
