  • A Discovery Questionnaire to capture your specific aesthetic goals before we begin.

  • A "North Star" Design Direction consisting of inspiration images and design notes to set the "look and feel" for your space.

  • A curated palette of 10 mid-to-high-tier finishes focused on aesthetic quality and designer-grade durability—including:

  • Cabinetry (Primary Colour & Style)

  • Main Faucet Aesthetic (Finish & Profile)

  • Countertop Material (Stone or Surface Selection)

  • Backsplash (Tile, Slab, or Pattern)

  • Flooring (Wood, Tile, or Engineered Hardwood)

  • Decorative Lighting (Pendants or Chandelier)

  • Cabinet Hardware (Pulls, Knobs, or Latches)

  • Main Sink Aesthetic (Style & Material)

  • Appliance Aesthetics ( Visual Style & Finish)

  • Wall Paint & Trim (Coordinated Palette)

  • I source from a blend of reputable Canadian retailers and specialty international brands (such as Rejuvenation or Etsy) for a unique, elevated look. To simplify logistics, I prioritize nationally available sources for heavy materials like flooring and tile. Each selection includes specific details on tone, finish, and texture—empowering you or your contractor to easily find a local match or functional equivalent if needed.

  • One Round of Minor Revisions following the final design presentation to ensure every selection is perfect (up to 3 item swaps).

  • A Digital "Vision" PDF delivered via email, including links (where appropriate) and Decorator’s Notes to communicate the visual "Design Intent" for your space.

  • Estimated delivery 4-6 weeks from completed onboarding.

Send an email to hello@dearalia.com or use our contact form to share your project goals. I’ll review your vision to ensure this specialized service is the right fit for your space and needs. Once we move forward, you’ll purchase the Guide, sign the Agreement, and receive a Discovery Questionnaire to capture your specific aesthetic preferences.

Design “North Star”

From there, I develop a conceptual"North Star"—a curated direction of inspiration images and design notes that set the aesthetic "look and feel" for your space. This step ensures we are perfectly aligned on the creative vision before we move into the selection phase.

Design Magic & Delivery

I then curate your complete aesthetic roadmap. You’ll receive a Digital "Vision" PDF featuring your 10 curated finishes and my signature Decorator’s Notes. One round of minor revisions is included to fine-tune the details before your project is ready for your contractor.

  • We prioritize 'Designer-Grade' materials (brands like Rejuvenation, Kohler, or Schoolhouse) that offer superior durability and aesthetic depth compared to big-box retail. For context, a high-quality kitchen pendant typically ranges from $600 – $1,200 CAD, and a solid brass faucet may range from $800 – $1,500 CAD. We focus on 'forever' pieces that elevate your home’s value.

  • The 'Kitchen Vision' guide is designed to provide a high-end, curated look. While we focus on specialty vendors to ensure the design's integrity, you are always welcome to use our 'Aesthetic Roadmap' to source similar-looking items from your preferred retailers

  • We curate these materials from brands that are either nationally available in Canada or offer reliable shipping to your area. Our goal is to provide a cohesive "Aesthetic Roadmap." If a specific material is out of stock or unavailable in your specific region, your guide will include detailed "Decorator’s Notes" outlining the exact tone, texture, and finish required to achieve the look, allowing you to source a functional equivalent locally.

  • Natural stone is unique to every yard. If your design includes a natural slab (like Marble or Quartzite), we will specify the type and character (e.g., "High-honed Calacatta with warm grey veining"). You will receive the specific criteria needed to go to your local slab yard and "tag" a comparable product. This ensures you see the physical slab in person, as veining and tone vary significantly from piece to piece.

  • Your Guide is designed to give you the confidence to choose! Since lighting is unique in every home, it’s best to review physical samples in your actual space with your contractor. If you’d like some extra reassurance, I’m happy to offer a quick 'sample review' via my hourly support ($80 CAD/hr) to help you finalize the perfect match!

  • We include one (1) consolidated round of feedback after the "North Star" is presented. This is the time to tell us if you love or hate the general vibe! Once we move into the Visualization and Selection phase, the design direction is locked. After final delivery, you have 7 days to request up to three (3) minor item swaps (e.g., "Can we try a different faucet?"). Any major pivots or additional changes after that window are billed at our hourly rate.

  • Yes, your Roadmap includes direct links where possible. We prioritize vendors that ship to Canada or have a national presence.

    Because we are a design service rather than a procurement firm, we don’t track live stock levels or pricing. If a specific item is unavailable, you can use the detailed 'Decorator’s Notes' in your Guide to help you and your contractor source a functional and aesthetic equivalent.
